Nisqually River (WA) - April 24, 2011

Please be patient while the pictures load...

A kayaker and another on a stand-up board get on the river while we are rigging

McKenna Park put-in for the Nisqually River

Absorbing a bit of knowledge while getting into river gear under the park shelter. More history

Hwy 507 bridge. This will be my first foray down the Nisqually. Odd in that it is a stretch of river only an hour or so from home. Short spring run season hasn't helped

Contrary to popular belief, I am not always way out in front

Lots of large homes along the upper stretch

A few rapids. Not much sun, a bit of on and off showers. It is April in Washington!

Verification photo2. Thanks Al

Doesn't look structurally sound to me....
